About Earth Rooted

Our Mission

Earth Rooted brings people face to face with the lived experience of war.

We build immersive, evidence-based educational experiences led by VR that replace second hand assumptions with firsthand understanding. We work to reach new audiences who will likely never set foot in a conflict zone but will vote, work, teach and make decisions that touch one.

Our Vision

An educated public.

People who understand the realities of war and humanitarian crisis well enough to engage with them honestly.

What We Stand For

Truth Without Agenda

Every VR episode and every classroom module is built on verified testimony and cross-checked reporting. We show what happened and allow audiences to draw their own conclusions.

Safety in Learning

Conflict content can retraumatize as easily as it can educate. Every session is designed with trauma-sensitive pacing and a trained facilitator present.

Community Co-Creation

Refugees, teachers, humanitarian workers and local partners shape our educational content from the first draft to the final product.

Our Goals

We measure ourselves against what changes in a classroom or a newsroom. That means specific, checkable targets:

250,000

Learners reached across Europe by 2030

Through VR, school and workplace programmes.

10

Conflict and crisis regions covered

Expanding our curriculum library with locally verified content for each.

1,000

Teachers trained by 2027

In trauma-sensitive conflict education.

5

European cities with a permanent lab

A standing Conflict Reality Lab in each major city.

Open

An open-access research archive

Testimony and curriculum published for educators worldwide.

Who We Are

Earth Rooted is based in Brussels, Belgium, operating across the EU with programmes delivered virtually to schools and workplaces worldwide.

We are a small team of educators, VR developers, humanitarian sector veterans and facilitators working alongside international partners and, most importantly, the people whose stories we are trusted to tell. Brussels gives us proximity to the EU institutions shaping migration and humanitarian policy, but our work reaches far beyond it.
